Tickets Adult – $59-101 Concession – $48-89 Under 30 – $30 European audiences of the early twentieth century were captivated by the magic of Russian fairy tales. This program marks Stravinsky’s fiftieth anniversary with one of the composer’s greatest ballets, his 1910 Firebird.
Elena Kats-Chernin’s "Night and Now" Flute Concerto also draws inspiration from Russian fairy tales and the composer’s own childhood. The piece was written for Sally Walker, making here her debut appearance with the CSO.
